Dr Nicolo Battisti speaks to ecancer at the SIOG 2019 meeting in Geneva about the young SIOG interest group, a group of young clinicians interested in geriatric oncology worldwide.
He outlines some of the highlights from this year's young SIOG members, including choosing more appropriate endpoints for elderly patients and emphasis on quality of life.
Dr Battisti also explains how there is an increasing awareness surrounding geriatric oncology, especially in young people, but now the training has to catch up with this interest.
