Prof Ahmed Hassan Abdel Aziz speaks to ecancer about a talk he presented at London Global Cancer Week 2025 on whether public–private partnerships can accelerate cancer research and clinical trials in low and middle-income countries.

He begins by explaining the role that public–private partnerships can play in strengthening research and clinical trial capacity in low and middle-income countries.

Prof Abdel Aziz highlights the National Breast Cancer Program in Egypt as an example of a successful partnership before also mentioning the benefit of involving 3rd parties (such as academic institutions) to add credibility.
