Dr Sofia Rivera speaks to ecancer about the pros and cons of breast intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) and ultra hypofractionation. 

She explains that for breast cancer patients they can now receive a single session of IORT during surgery following the tumour excision which most often results in post-operative radiation therapy no longer being required.
