Dr Marvin Mendoza speaks to ecancer about his new ecancermedicalscience article titled, 'Medical oncology care amidst the COVID-19 pandemic at the National University Hospital in the Philippines'.

He explains that before the pandemic the challenge was to give the best possible care to the patients that they could afford.

Dr Mendoza believes that the main challenges for the hospital are combating the risk of infection and the limited resources of the hospital and patients, made worse by the pandemic.

He highlights the importance of health professionals sharing the practises that work, something that helps not only clinicians but cancer patients as well.
