Prof Christopher Nutting - The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK

Prof Chris Nutting talks to ecancer in an online interview for the ASCO virtual meeting 2020 about treatment for swallowing problems after head and neck radiotherapy.

He initially explains how radiotherapy can cause damage to the swallowing muscles, and how a lower dose to this area may improve swallowing ability post radiotherapy.

Prof Nutting provides data and results from the study, with some promising improvements. He also touches upon some of the difficulty of this procedure, and some of the necessary training that may be needed.
