Dr Ishwaria Subbiah - MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA

Dr Ishwaria Subbiah speaks to ecancer at the SIOG 2019 meeting about her involvement with the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC).

She initially emphasises why it is so important to have a palliative care support team as early as possible in a patient's cancer journey, as support has been shown to improve a patient's cancer journey.

From this she explains her role in the ACCC, the inclusion of a palliative care webinar for geriatric patients, and the emphasis on having a multidisciplinary team for this process.

This service has been kindly supported by unrestricted grants from Janssen Oncology and Sanofi Genzyme.
