SIOG 2024: Updates in medical oncology
Prof Holly Holmes speaks to ecancer at the SIOG 2019 meeting in Geneva about the many faces of geriatric oncology.
She explains that the sessions give an idea of the different roles that geriatric assessment can play. The sessions included geriatric assessment in the emergency department, the assessment of polypharmacy and mobility, and rehab interventions in patients with mobility impairment.
Prof Holmes mentions the significance of considering multidisciplinary perspectives and highlights some of the interesting views and discussions from the sessions.
