Dr Thomas Kleinoeder - KWHC GMBH, Uelzen, Germany

Thomas Kleinoeder speaks to ecancer at the European CME Forum 2018 about the feasibility of achieving a balanced CME without independence.

He discusses whether balance and independence are both inter-linked or should be seen as discrete components.

Kleinoeder later concludes that these two attributes are not related, but insists that healthcare providers and other key stakeholders should work collaboratively in order to achieve good CME.

In terms of the future, Kleinoeder believes a more transparent definition of CME is required in order to establish how this program fits within other sectors of medical education.
