Dr Rahul Aggarwal speaks to ecancer about the DeLLpro 300 study and where the findings fit into the overall treatment landscape of novel therapies in mCRPC.
This phase 1b open label study enrolled heavily pretreated patients to assess safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy. Patients received intravenous tarlatamab, with additional evaluation of pharmacokinetics and biomarker expression to better understand response patterns.
Dr Aggarwal says that early findings demonstrate encouraging antitumour activity, particularly in DLL3 positive tumours, with evidence of disease control in a subset of patients.
The safety profile appears manageable, with cytokine release syndrome as the most common adverse event, generally low grade and consistent with other T cell redirecting therapies.
These results contribute to the evolving treatment landscape in metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer, highlighting the potential role of biomarker driven immunotherapy in aggressive and treatment resistant disease.
Dr Aggarwal highlights that ongoing and future studies will focus on optimising patient selection, refining treatment strategies, and confirming clinical benefit in larger trials.
