Dr Daniel Campos

Dr. Daniel J. Campos, Executive Consultant and Past Head of the Oncology Service at the San Isidro Central Hospital at the Buenos Aires University School of Medicine U.N.B.A. He was President of the Professionals Association and Deputy Secretary to the Direction at the prestigious academic “Institute of Oncology Angel H. Roffo (U.N.B.A.)”. There he was also the Associated Director of the Superior Course in Oncology and Founder of the First Multidisciplinary Conference now in the 34th uninterrupted re-edition.

Professor of Pharmacology, Public Health and Clinical Medicine in UNBA, he was a Hired Investigator for the Cooperative Program of Clinical Research PAHO-OMS at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington DC. Likewise, he was Principal Investigator in several multicenter international clinical trials, most of them of registry, focusing on lung, breast, pancreas, renal and prostate cancers, anemia and CINV. 

His opinion on research in Latin America was requested by different media, where the interview carried out by The Washington Post in December 2001 stands out. A lecture on that behalf was paramount: “Conducting clinical trials in Latin America” in the 36º annual DIA Meeting, San Diego California. 

Currently the director of the Clinical Research Institute of the Latin American and the Caribbean Society of Medical Oncology (SLACOM). Within this role, he serves as a leading investigator in academic or independent clinical trials. 
At ASCO in 2012 he was appointed to the International Affairs Committee and later on, to the International Clinical Trials Workshop ICT Working Group.
