Cooperative training for medical staff in Côte d'Ivoire: The national radiotherapy and medical oncology center project
Dr Howard "Jack" West speaks to ecancer about telemedicine in cancer care during and beyond the pandemic at the ASCO Direct Highlights Miami Symposium 2021.
He explains that we have had the capability to deliver some care by telemedicine for years but this was underutilised until the COVID-19 pandemic. He discusses some of the benefits of telemedicine for some patients that have been observed during this time and some of the shortcomings for others.
Dr West poses the question of what role telemedicine can play post-pandemic and how that might develop in the foreseeable future.
