Prof Luis Pinillos-Ashton talks to ecancer about the work of the National Coalition against Cancer of Peru. Talking at the National Cancer Institute Directors’ meeting in Lyon, 17th May 2011, he discusses how the Coalition has helped to coordinate different organisations in the public and private health sector when providing treatment for patients. This coordination has helped to eliminate duplication of efforts, for example in screening and research. Prof Pinillos-Ashton also talks about the smoking cessation campaign in Peru.
