Prof Karen Canfell speaks to ecancer about the Conquering Cancer Campaign, which is a social impact campaign that supports the implementation of the WHO’s cervical cancer elimination initiative.

Prof Canfell explains that, while eliminating cervical cancer worldwide can be achieved, one of the main challenges is scaling up existing interventions. These interventions include HPV vaccination, cervical screening and cervical cancer treatment services. She notes that this is more difficult in low-middle income countries and describes how these interventions can be applied to these regions despite various barriers.
