Dr Josep Ribera speaks to ecancer in online video interview about the management of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia patients (ALL) during the coronavirus pandemic.
He speaks about a recent survey he carried out during the peak of the pandemic, which assessed the impact of COVID-19 on patients with ALL in Spain.
Dr Ribera explains the results of the survey, and states that the incidence of COVID-19 and ALL subtype were not linked, but notes that elderly patients were more affected.
He also outlines the main changes to treatment practices during the pandemic - in particular stem cell transplantations.
