The Vanessa Moss Prize: celebrating research into cancer health disparities
Dr Abhishek Shankar speaks to ecancer at the Choosing Wisely: Value added cancer care for India event in Delhi about community based cancer prevention and the contribution of the environment to cancer.
He explains that WHO has reported that environmental contributions to cancer are a big concern in India and that lung cancer in particular has been identified as a cancer that is being adversely affected.
Dr Shankar believes that community based cancer prevention is hugely important for India in order to educate people and change mindsets that cancer is not an incurable disease.
