Dr Ophira Ginsburg (NYU Langone Health, New York City, USA) speaks to Dr Rengaswamy Sankaranarayanan (Senior Medical Advisor, RTI International India) at the Choosing Wisely: Value added cancer care for India event in Delhi about the key highlights from the meeting.
Dr Sankaranarayanan states that cancer control interventions in the developing world should depend on the context, socioeconomic status and healthcare infrastructure of a particular environment.
He also discusses the cancer control research priorities in India, including early detection interventions that are context-specific.
