BRCA1/BRCA2 germline mutations in patients with breast/ovarian cancer
Prof Govind Babu talks to ecancer at the 2019 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting about his research on a novel method of drug testing and also liquid biopsies.
His discussion is part of the Global Cancer Leaders series.
He explains that a large, multi-centre study was conducted in India where they tried to simulate the microenvironment of the patient outside the host in order to identify the most suitable treatments.
Prof Babu then outlines a study on circulating tumour DNA where they looked at the correlation of the cells with the response.
