Dr Etienne De Braekeleer - Wellcome Sanger Institute, Cambridge, UK

Dr Etienne De Braekeleer presents results at the 2019 European Hematology Association (EHA) Annual Meeting from a study looking at the mutations in NOTCH1 that drive T-ALL cells to multiply rapidly.

A CRISPR-Cas9-based method was used to screen the human genome and highlight potential targetable genes.

Inhibiting one of these genes, NADK, was shown to greatly inhibit T-ALL cells from growing.
