Dr André Ilbawi spoke to ecancer at the UICC World Cancer Congress in Kuala Lumpur about the possibility of universal health coverage.
This means ensuring everyone having access to quality healthcare across the world with financial protection, unfortunately there are currently many large gaps in the cancer world which need to be improved to achieve universal health coverage.
Dr Ilbawi explains some steps that can be taken to fill these gaps, starting with cost-effective interventions.
