Founding editor Prof Gordon McVie defines personalised medicine, and discusses the latest e-learning modules developed for those who wish to learn or enhance their understanding of personalised medicine.

These modules were developed with the Personalized Medicine project, a 4 year long collaborative effort aimed at developing innovative tools to create support and sustain new knowledge with the purpose of overcoming current healthcare and clinical research problems to pave the way for the patient's needs for individualised treatment.
