Dr Ramón Salazar - The University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain

Dr Ramón Salazar talks to ecancer at ASCO 2026 about the design of the phase III CR-SEQUENCE trial, which evaluates two treatment sequences involving panitumumab and bevacizumab in patients with RAS wild-type, left-sided metastatic colorectal cancer.

The study aims to determine whether the order in which anti-EGFR and anti-VEGF therapies are administered alongside standard chemotherapy influences PFS, OS, and treatment response. The trial will also explore predictive biomarkers and circulating tumour DNA to help guide future treatment selection.
