Reducing cancer burden through prevention
Dr Olubukola Ayodele speaks to ecancer about the Vanessa Moss Prize, awarded during London Global Cancer Week 2025 to early-career researchers in recognition of their work addressing disparities in cancer care and outcomes.
She highlights the research of the ten winners of the Vanessa Moss Prize, including the work of top winner Dr Soumen Das who was celebrated for his research into community-integrated early breast cancer detection in LMICs using BC-RADS.
Among the other prize recipients highlighted by Dr Ayodele are Dr Lin Chen, whose work examines disparities in cancer care among Chinese immigrant communities in Scotland, and Dr Elysse Bautista-Gonzalez, whose research focuses on inequalities in cancer care resources across Mexico.
