Dr Joseph Greer speaks to ecancer at ASCO 2024 about his study which compared the effectiveness of early palliative care delivered via telehealth versus in person among patients with advanced lung cancer.

1250 patients with advanced NSCLC, diagnosed in the past 12 weeks, were randomised into either telehealth versus in-person early palliative care across 22 cancer centres in the US.

He reports that patients reported equal scores of quality of life with the delivery of early palliative care via video versus in-person.
