Prostate cancer
Dr Gil Morgan from OncoAlert gives his oncology highlights from social media for the week of September 22-28th, 2023.
He begins by inviting colleagues to the 'Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Breast Cancer' conference taking place on October 6th.
Dr Morgan then highlighted the results of the KEYNOTE-A39/EV-302 trial, which showed that patients with previously untreated locally advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer met dual primary endpoints of overall survival and progression-free survival.
He also mentioned the CheckMate-77T trial, which demonstrated that a neoadjuvant regimen of Opdivo and chemotherapy followed by adjuvant Opdivo significantly improved event-free survival in patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer.
Finally, Dr Morgan talked about the European Association of Nuclear Medicine Focus 5, where a panel of experts in prostate cancer imaging and treatment are working to reach a consensus on important issues such as the utilisation of PSMA PET imaging and other cutting-edge imaging techniques.
