Dr Arnold John Uson presents his talk at Choosing Wisely Philippines 2023 about choosing wisely with a multidisciplinary team approach to cancer care in the Philippines.

He begins by highlighting the Choosing Wisely recommendation that we should not decide treatment of potentially curable cancers without inputs from a multidisciplinary oncology team. Some of the key topics of this talk include the burden of cancer in the Philippines, treatment goals and modalities in cancer management and evidence of multidisciplinary teams improving cancer patient survival.

Dr Uson concludes by outlining some of the main challenges on cancer treatment in the Philippines and some final important take home messages for medical professionals.
