ESMO 2024: Best practice in HRRm testing in patients with metastatic prostate cancer
Dr Priscilla Caguioa speaks to ecancer about neo-adjuvant therapy for different cancers.
Neo-adjuvant therapy is a form of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy or endocrine therapy to downsize a tumour and make it smaller so the surgeon can do definitive surgery. This can also be done for breast preservation in breast cancer or organ conservation.
Dr Caguioa discusses the main points of her talk at the Choosing Wisely conference.
She concludes by talking about what kind of therapies and funding are available in the Philippines.
