Yoga improves mood, fatigue, and insomnia in cancer survivors following treatment
Dr Malar Velli Segarmurthy speaks to ecancer, about her proposal for improving access to palliative care by enhancing primary care services in an upper middle-income country.
She explains that palliative care is a cost effective approach that can improve quality of life for cancer patient populations however palliative care remains underdeveloped around the world. This study aimed to determine the accessibility of palliative care services in Malaysia.
Dr Segarmurthy concludes that she hopes this survey will support the future development of sustainable palliative care services at a primary care level, particularly in lower-middle income countries.
