Priorities for cancer care in Wales
18 Oct 2017
Central Cardiff, Cardiff, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
This seminar will examine next steps for improving the quality of cancer care in Wales.
It takes place as the Welsh Government and Wales Cancer Network work alongside key stakeholders to implement the Cancer Delivery Plan for Wales 2016-20.
The seminar takes place following the opening of the Welsh Government’s £80m Treatment Fund which requires health boards to make approved medicines available within two months of the final guidance being published.
It also comes after the Welsh Government’s confirmation that all of the recommendations made by the independent review into the Individual Patient Funding Request Process (IPFR) will be implemented by September, which takes into account both clinical benefits and value for money in decisions about treatment.
