Esagon: Biennial Course - Scientific Program Theory Week: Cervical Cancer Dear Friend, The European School of Abdomino-pelvic Surgery in Gynecologic Oncology –Esagon– is opening up its lecture hall and operating rooms to a wider audience. We have been inevitably impressed by the potential that technology has to offer when applied to communication. Today the possibility to take part in lectures or live surgeries and to interact (chat) in real time with the surgical team – directly from your computer or from a maxi-screen together with your colleagues – has become a reality. Also, the possibility of viewing again and again (on demand), whenever your schedule permits it, lectures, slide presentations or surgical operations offers another invaluable education and training opportunity. A permanent international faculty fully supports Esagon’s educational goals for all those who wish to improve and maintain their professional skills. Esagon aims to become an international school, without borders, and to reach all those who, due to various limitations, are unable to personally attend meetings and/or courses dedicated to gynecologic oncology. For this reason, Esagon offers an educational platform within a network comprising students as well as academic staff/faculty members, who periodically meet, even virtually, to discuss common issues and to compare the different schools of thoughts. Also thanks to your contribution, we will be able to create a network of centres or of individual Esagon students who can link and interact online for permanent training. Attached you will find the program of the Esagon theory week and live surgeries which this year is dedicated to cervical cancer. You will be able to attend directly from your office or with your colleagues from your hospital. With a registration fee of €200 you will be able to view the whole week online, interacting with us and sending queries via a dedicated chat line. The registration fee also allows the possibility to connect with and view, for the next six months, the lectures and the live surgeries that arouse your interest.
