PanCareSurFup for Childhood Cancer Survivors – European Conference 'Acting Now!'
23 - 24 May 2016
Thon Hotel EU, Brussels, Belgium
Partners and experts from the EU project PanCareSurFup(PanCare Childhood and Adolescent Cancer Survivor Care and Follow-Up Studies) will present important study findings and initiatives from this 6 year project investigating serious long-term consequences of childhood cancer and its treatment during childhood and adolescence.
The 2-day PanCareSurFup European Conference ‘Acting Now!’ will address the current challenges in ensuring the quality of survivorship. As one of the main objectives of the broader European Cancer Plan for Children and Adolescents, the research performed by PanCareSurFup partners is essential to educate both former patients and healthcare professionals. The Conference also aims to empower survivors to play an active role in maintaining their own health and wellbeing via specific tools, like the ‘Survivorship Passport’.
This unique Conference will bring together several key stakeholders: paediatric oncologists and healthcare professionals, European policy-makers, researchers, psychologists, nurses, childhood cancer survivors and their families.
