3rd European-Asian Breast Cancer Congress 2014 (EURAMA)
29 - 30 Oct 2014
Al Bustan Palace Hotel, a Ritz – Carlton Hotel, Muscat, Oman
Breast cancer is increasing worldwide, including Asian countries and Oman. Although its incidence rate has been increasing worldwide since 1950, mortality rates have levelled off or begun to decline recently. Countries that have a downturn in mortality are generally those with the highest rates whereas on the contrary, countries with lower incidence tend to be the ones in which the mortality is increasing.
We now face a double burden of breast cancer –late diagnosis and public awareness. The main aim of the congress is to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention, early detection and treatment. It also promotes collaboration between experts from different disciplines pertaining to breast diseases.
