German Cancer Congress (DKK) 2014
19 - 22 Feb 2014
MESSE BERLIN, SÜDGELÄNDE, Berlin, Germany
31st German Cancer Congress 2014 and the Cancer Forum 2014
The German Cancer Congress is the largest and oldest congress covering cancer diagnostics and therapy in Germany. The 31st German Cancer Congress will take place from February 19 to 22, 2014, in Berlin, Messe Süd (entrance Jafféstraße).
Congress President 2014
Prof. Dr. Michael Hallek, director of the Clinic I for Internal Medicine at the University of Cologne.
Organisation
Since 1951, the German Cancer Congress has been organised by the German Cancer Society. In 2014, the event will be hosted by both the German Cancer Society and the German Cancer Aid for the first time. Both institutions are bringing their experts and expertise, along with many other relevant specialists in this multifaceted and complex field of oncological patient care, to the conference.
Theme and Congress Programme
The Congress programme focuses on the three substantial challenges that currently preoccupy cancer medicine: enhancing interdisciplinarity, rapid integration and financing of innovations, and increasing individualization of therapy decisions after molecular-genetic diagnostics. All this demands „Intelligente Konzepte in der Onkologie (iKon)“ – Intelligent Concepts in Oncology – which is the theme for this year’s congress.
