The ABC Consensus Conference is the major international conference fully dedicated to advanced/metastatic breast cancer (ABC). The conference’s primary goal is the development of international consensus guidelines for the management of ABC. These guidelines are based on the most up-to-date evidence and can be used to guide treatment decision-making in a variety of different healthcare settings globally, with the necessary adaptations due to differences in healthcare provision. Throughout the years, these guidelines have been endorsed by several international organisations, and many organisations around the world have been adapting them to their country-specific environment, particularly in terms of promoting accessibility to healthcare services, diagnostics and new therapeutic agents.
