EACR Virtual Conference - The Structural Microenvironment: Breaking down the walls of cancer
22 - 23 Feb 2022
Virtual
The study of the tumour microenvironment has completely transformed our cancer cell-centric view of tumour biology.
Fibroblasts, immune cells, blood vessels and the extracellular matrix work in concert to establish an environment permissive for the growth and survival of the cancer cells and for their metastatic dissemination.
A deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in shaping the tumour microenvironment has revealed that their perturbation has profound consequences on tumour progression and that they are an attractive set of novel therapeutic approaches to treat cancer.
This first EACR meeting on the Structural Microenvironment will gather top experts in the field to discuss structural alterations that accompany cancer development and how we can exploit them to treat cancer.
This conference is best suited to basic and translational scientists and clinicians, both senior and young investigators that want to have a broad and detailed overview of the most recent advances in the field of the tumour microenvironment.
Topics to be covered:
- ECM Structure and Mechanics
- ECM Composition
- Immune TME
- Tumour Biomechanics
- TME Metabolism
