Symposium on QoL Research
7 - 9 Sep 2011
The European Parliament Brussels Belgium, Brussels, Belgium
The EORTC Quality of Life Department, established for over 18 years, in one of the major European cancer-research organizations. With the award of a major grant to undertake detailed analysis of clinical trial data, including research training and fellowships the EORTC QOL has access to and is generating high-quality data relative to the psychosocial and HRQOL functioning of European cancer patients.
The PROBE project aims to use EORTC data and clinical network to formulate policies for better patient care. PROBE will shed light on many critical topics as yet unclear resulting in a significant impact on future psychosocial care. Eventually, PROBE will influence clinicians, policy makers, healthcare providers and services.
PROBE is fortunate in having significant research funding and the support of the EORTC Board, and is supported by an international advisory panel in collaboration with the project management team. All EORTC members are invited to participate in order to provide a balance of multidisciplinary skills and experience in all major fields.
This course has been listed as one of the deliverables from the EU FP7-funded EurocanPlatform project. For information on EurocanPlatform visit: http://www.eurocanplatform.eu
