This module is intended for medical oncologists, specialist breast cancer nurses, oncology trainees, and other healthcare professionals involved in the multidisciplinary management of patients with hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/HER2− breast cancer.

Objetivos educativos

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the biological rationale for CDK4/6 inhibition and its role in the management of HR+/HER2− breast cancer.
  • Evaluate the current clinical evidence supporting the use of CDK4/6 inhibitors across early and metastatic HR+/HER2− breast cancer.
  • Interpret the role of multigene assays and genomic biomarkers in recurrence risk assessment, treatment selection, and therapeutic sequencing.
  • Apply evidence-based treatment strategies to optimise patient selection, treatment sequencing, and multidisciplinary management across the disease continuum.
  • Recognise key treatment-related adverse events and implement appropriate monitoring, patient education, and supportive care strategies to optimise adherence and outcomes.
  • Integrate clinical evidence and genomic information into therapeutic decision-making through practical, case-based scenarios.
