Pharmacological Treatment for Tobacco Dependence

This module focuses on the pharmacological treatments available to smokers during a quit attempt, including; nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), varenicline, bupropion and cytisine and their effectiveness in promoting a successful quit attempt. 

This e-learning course is comprised of 8 modules exploring how to deliver an effective cessation programme to your patients. The content was developed alongside experts in Tobacco Cessation from King's College London.

This module is for health professionals/students looking to expand their knowledge in the field of tobacco addiction with a focus on tobacco dependence treatment.

Objetivos educativos

Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of:

  • Evidence based medicines to help smokers quit, including nicotine replacement therapy, varenicline bupropion and cytisine.
