Dr Stein Kaasa speaks to ecancer about the integration of palliative care in oncology. Initially, he explains what integration of palliative care means. He discusses how doctors can improve the quality of life of people living with the disease.

Dr Kaasa then mentions the barriers to patient-centred care with regards to mainstream oncology. He then explains the important factors to consider when thinking of patient-centred care.

Dr Kaasa talks about the solutions to these problems and how they can be implemented. He concludes by discussing the recent paper that he has authored on this subject and the presentation he gave at the palliative care symposium.
