Dr Sandra Swain - Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA

Dr Sandra Swain speaks to ecancer about her talk at this year’s virtual BGICC.

She says that her lecture this year is about HER2 advanced breast cancer and recent therapies regarding it.

She then speaks about some of the recent targeted therapies that have been proven by clinical trials to be effective against HER2 positive breast cancer.

Dr Swain explains the data obtained form these studies and what it implied. In the end, she mentions some of the older approved drugs that are also effective against this type of cancer and future studies can be built up on those as well.
