Dr Răzvan Curcă speaks to ecancer about Romania’s national congress of oncology and how Romania can improve its cancer prevention and screening programmes. He says funding is the main problem which prevents improvement of the current situation regarding prevention and screening in Romania.

He then speaks about the issues regarding on-time access to imaging techniques for the patients and how this issue can cause further impediments to the patient’s treatment. He says genetic profiling is also not reimbursed.

Furthermore, he mentions that the pandemic has made this situation worse. In the end he talks about the national cancer plan and what it is lacking and how it can be improved. He also gives further solutions to the problems mentioned before
