Dr Shona Nag speaks to ecancer at the Choosing Wisely: Value added cancer care for India event in Delhi about the importance of choosing wisely with breast cancer in India.
She explains that breast cancer is the most common cancer for women in India and that, in a country where there is minimal health insurance, doctors need to be aware of not over treating for minimal benefit.
Dr Nag urges doctors to choose the situation went to biopsy or not and not to waste money on biopsies if it is in keeping with clinical context.
