Saidu Rakiya speaks to ecancer at the 2019 AORTIC conference in Maputo about a study on self-sampling for HPV cervical screening.

They found the results from self-samples comparable to those taken by clinicians, indicating that relying on self-sampling methods would not negatively impact screening accuracy.

Furthermore, they found that patients felt empowered by being able to take the samples themselves.
