Prof Hesham El-Ghazaly speaks to ecancer at the BGICC 2020 conference in Cairo, Egypt about the combination of chemotherapy and hormone therapy for the treatment of luminal metastatic breast cancer.

He states that this combination has improved the progression-free survival in both the adjuvant and metastatic setting.

Prof El-Ghazaly mentions a phase III trial comparing the use of an aromatase inhibitor alone versus an aromatase inhibitor plus capecitabine, which has generated promising results so far.
