Dr Prateek Jain talks to ecancer at the Choosing Treatments Wisely event in Kolkata about a multidisciplinary session covering the treatment of head and neck tumours.
He details some of the case studies that were in focus and also praises the value of audience participation in sessions like this.
Dr Jain states that a key point of the session was that in oral cavity cancers its always better to operate up front if you have the option and then chemotherapy and radiotherapy can be used as an adjunctive treatment.
