Dr Erica Wheeler speaks to ecancer at the SIOG 2019 meeting in Geneva about the importance of organising SIOG Advanced Courses in the Caribbean

She outlines that traditionally in nursing in the Caribbean there hasn't been training on gerontology, something which is becoming a problem due to ageing populations.

Dr Wheeler explains that the SIOG advanced courses build capacity to deliver a better quality of care by interconnecting nursing and gerontology.
