Prof Reinhard Stauder - University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria

Dr Stauder speaks with ecancer at EHA 23 about fatigue in older patients.

He outlines how fatigue relates to inflammation, malnutrition, depression and physical limitations, which contribute to fatigue and thus to reduced patient survival, and how treatments targeting inflammation can contribute to alleviating disease burden.

Overall, Dr Stauder encourages doctors to be attentive to older patients at risk of fatigue.

Patient reported outcomes and quality of life were also discussed at ASCO 2018 by Dr Fabrice Denis.
