Prof Foà (Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy) chairs this expert panel discussion with Prof Wendtner (University of Cologne, Cologne, Germany), Dr Bosch (Hospital Vall d'Hebron, Barcelona, Spain) and Prof Florence Cymbalista (Hôpital Avicenne, Paris, France) about the latest agents for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) for ecancertv at a CLL treatment practice meeting in Madrid.

They discuss the new emerging therapies and any differences between them, practical aspects to be considered, and their opinions on where these drugs can best be placed within the treatment pathway. They also consider the side effect profile of each agent, how they compare with current treatments and how they can be managed most effectively. In addition, they note the likely challenges that are faced with the addition of new treatments becoming available and contemplate what the future may hold including possible problems and their solutions.
