Subcutaneous tarlatamab shows promising safety and activity in previously treated extensive-stage SCLC
Dr Lu Xie speaks to ecancer about the phase III ARTEMIS-011 trial, which compared risvutatug rezetecan, a B7-H3-directed antibody drug conjugate, with gemcitabine and docetaxel in patients with relapsed or refractory osteosarcoma who had received at least two previous lines of systemic therapy.
Among 122 patients, risvutatug rezetecan significantly improved median progression-free survival, reaching 5.5 months compared with 1.4 months with chemotherapy and reducing the risk of disease progression or death by 67%.
Dr Xie says the overall survival data remains immature, although an encouraging trend favoured risvutatug rezetecan.
Grade 3 or higher treatment-emergent adverse events occurred in 92.5% of patients receiving risvutatug rezetecan, with haematological toxicities contributing to a higher rate of treatment-related serious adverse events.
These findings highlight the potential of risvutatug rezetecan as a new treatment option for patients with heavily pretreated osteosarcoma.
