ecancermedicalscience wins highest accolade for web TV
The 29th IVCA Awards celebrated effective communication in video and digital media across Europe. The glittering ceremony held in London on 26th March was attended by over 700 commissioners, government representatives, industry colleagues and the media.
ecancer won the gold award for its web TV channel, ecancer.tv. The channel features over 300 videos of leading oncology professionals discussing cancer news from around the world. The channel also hosts animations, round table discussions, educational modules and press briefings. ecancer actively encourages all those involved in cancer care to exchange ideas and research, speeding up the time it takes from discovery to patient. The channel is not for profit and all content is provided free of charge.
Prof. Gordon McVie, Managing Editor of ecancer, comments, "We are leading the way in the field of online video for busy oncology professionals. We offer all our content free of charge and we are extremely grateful to our founding partners who had the foresight and courage to back this innovative idea."
Marco Forgione, IVCA’s Chief Executive commented "The IVCA Awards are an annual celebration of the finest creativity, innovation and expertise that the communications industry has to offer. Once again this year the standard of entries was exceptional."
We are an independent charity and are not backed by a large company or society. We raise every penny ourselves to improve the standards of cancer care through education. You can help us continue our work to address inequalities in cancer care by making a donation.
Any donation, however small, contributes directly towards the costs of creating and sharing free oncology education.
Together we can get better outcomes for patients by tackling global inequalities in access to the results of cancer research.
Thank you for your support.
