We are delighted to announce that Prof Gordon McVie, Managing Editor of ecancermedicalscience, has been accepted as a Scholar Member of WAME, the World Association of Medical Editors.

WAME seek to foster cooperation and communication among editors, improve editorial standards, promote professionalism in medical editing through education, self-criticism, and self-regulation, and encourage research on the principles and practice of medical editing.

As a  strong believer in the power of communication within science, Prof McVie has spent his life improving the quality of oncology education and communication.  He is very much looking forward to bringing his considerable experience, expertise and enthusiasm to advise WAME on new challenges facing medical publishing.
